Left lodge at Muncho Lake this morning in cloudy weather. Picture is of Muncho Lake as we were leaving. Within a mile or two it started sprinkling and then proceeded to rain much of the remaining 430 miles on down to Dawson Creek, BC. I found myself fantasizing about sitting in a warm dry office at Kennewick General Hospital interpreting diagnostic images. We stopped for lunch at Fort Nelson, BC and I thought I should probably pour the water out of my boots before I went in. There was a transient sitting on a bench in front of the cafe. He seemed quite interested in watching me stand on one foot while pouring the water out. He even brought me a chair to sit in so I wouldn't fall over. He commented several times on how I should "fix the hole in my boots". Probably didn't comprehend how riding a couple hundred miles in the rain will tend to fill your boots even without a hole in them. The great thing about today was that where they were chip-sealing the road and the sign said "extreme dusty conditions" we had no dust. Anyway a day like today makes us appreciate the warm sunny days more.
Since you are still blogging and have submitted a picture of a bear, it leads me to believe you were able to run faster than your wife.
